Started this as a funky bassline on the iPad and it evolved into a full piece.
This track was born out of a jam session and quickly became a loop of the day. @glennlll on guitars and an interesting lead vocal provided by a filtered bass.
Worked up this track with a little funk. Cut up some bass and guitar riffs by @glennlll and threw it in the soup. Check out this mix.
We put down bass synth with some chord changes – then overdubbed guitar and full acoustic drum kit over top. A little more post-production gave way to some killer guitar atmosphere and additional percussion to make more space in the mix.
Fun piece to make – and a decent number of hours for a sub-2-minute pop song. Driving guitar riff and some minor dub-step influence in the bridge sections.
